The TS Optics Apochromatic Refractor AP 102/1122 SD OTA refractor telescope features a two-element objective lens made with special glass, including Ohara FPL53. Its color correction covers the 480–656 nm spectral range and remains very good in violet and short-wavelength blue light, thanks to its f/11 focal ratio and additional special glass. It is designed for visual observation and astrophotography.

Removing the rear end of the tube increases the working distance from 150 mm to 270 mm when the focuser tube is fully retracted. This allows accessories for binocular viewing and a 2" diagonal mirror to be used together without adjusting the focus.
