For astrophotography, the Omegon Ritchey-Chretien Pro RC 250/2000 OTA telescope uses hyperbolic primary and secondary mirrors, with no corrector, to provide a wide field of view without coma. The quartz mirrors minimize focus shift caused by thermal expansion. The open-tube design has no corrector plate and helps the telescope adapt to ambient temperature more quickly.
The 3″ linear Crayford focuser is supported by bearings and combines the smooth operation of a Crayford focuser with the stability of a rack-and-pinion mechanism. It rotates fully and features 1:10 fine focus adjustment and a scale for quickly returning to the same focus position.
