Description & Specifications

The Askar 60F is a state-of-the-art apochromatic refractor telescope, specially designed for demanding astrophotography. It features a 60 mm aperture and a 408 mm focal length (f/6.8), making it ideal for capturing extensive nebulae and star fields. It incorporates an advanced quadruplet APO optical design with an air-spaced configuration and ultra-low-dispersion ED glass. Thanks to its integrated field flattener, there is no need to calculate back focus or use external correctors. It fully covers a 44 mm image circle, delivering exemplary edge-to-edge sharpness with full-frame sensors.

It is equipped with a robust 2.4" dual-speed Rack & Pinion focuser with a 1:10 fine-focus ratio for precise focusing. It includes an integrated 360° rotator for easy, immediate framing while imaging. It features adapters with M54 and M48 threads, supporting direct use of 2" internal filters. Weighing just 2.36 kg and featuring a retractable dew shield, it is the ultimate portable astrophotography setup for trips to dark-sky locations.

Premium Quadruplet APO Optical Design & Full Frame

The Askar 60F features a four-element apochromatic quadruplet APO design with air-spaced elements for unparalleled optical clarity. The use of ED (Extra-low Dispersion) optical elements effectively eliminates chromatic aberration and delivers excellent contrast on stars. With an aperture of 60 mm and a focal length of 408 mm (f/6.8), it is the ideal tool for wide-field deep-sky astrophotography. It provides a perfectly corrected 44 mm image circle, fully covering modern Full Frame camera sensors. The built-in flattener delivers a perfectly flat, distortion-free field right to the corners of the frame, without the need for external optical elements. It eliminates time-consuming backfocus adjustments, allowing you to connect your camera and start shooting right away.

Mechanical Precision, 2.4" Focuser & 360° Rotator

It features an exceptionally sturdy 2.4" dual-speed Rack & Pinion focuser with a 1:10 reduction for precise, fine-tuned control. The mechanism maintains complete stability without slipping, effortlessly supporting heavy astronomical cameras and filter wheels. It incorporates a 360-degree rotator with an engraved scale, ensuring easy and precise framing adjustments. It comes with dedicated M54 and M48 adapters, allowing you to connect your imaging equipment directly. It includes an integrated internal thread for 2" filters, making it much easier to use light-pollution or narrowband filters. The retractable dew shield protects against moisture and reduces the transport length to 289 mm.

Ultimate Portability & Complete Mounting System

With a net weight of just 2.36 kg, this telescope is a powerful yet exceptionally lightweight solution for stargazing trips. It includes sturdy mounting rings and a top carry handle with integrated accessory mounting points. The base features a 230 mm Vixen-style dovetail bar, ensuring immediate compatibility with most equatorial and alt-azimuth mounts. It offers three accessory mounting positions via a dual finder shoe and a socket on the handle for a guide scope or control computer. It is fully equipped for both deep-sky astrophotography and high-quality visual observation with a diagonal and eyepieces. A complete and reliable system, it is ready to deliver observatory-class images on every nighttime excursion.
