The Askar 130PHQ refractor telescope features five-element apochromatic optics with two ED elements, including Ohara FPL53 glass. Its 1000 mm focal length and F/7.7 focal ratio are combined with a flat field up to 60 mm in diameter, without requiring an additional field flattener or corrector. The optical design corrects chromatic aberrations across the entire visible spectrum.

All optical surfaces have multilayer anti-reflective coatings. The 4" rack-and-pinion focuser has a 1:10 reduction ratio and an integrated 360° rotator. The telescope features a CNC-machined, anodized construction, and each unit undergoes optical and interferometric testing. The M86, M68, M54, and M48 rear connections are compatible with cameras, filters, and accessories.
