The Askar 185APO refractor telescope features an air-spaced apochromatic triplet APO lens with an ED glass element, for astrophotography and visual observation. Its 185 mm aperture, 1,295 mm focal length and f/7 focal ratio contribute to light gathering and the rendering of detail in faint celestial objects. The optical design reduces chromatic aberration and improves image quality across the entire field of view.
The tube is retractable and closes to 1,081 mm. The 3.5-inch dual-speed focuser has 100 mm of travel, an engraved scale and a 360° rotating mechanism with a scale and locking screws. For visual observation, it accepts eyepieces, 1.25” and 2” diagonal prisms, and binocular viewers, thanks to the retractable rear tube.
