The Askar FRA500 refractor telescope features a five-element apochromatic optical system with ED FPL-53 glass, correcting colour aberrations and producing sharp images across the entire field. Its flat-field design, with an image circle of up to 44 mm, requires no additional field flattener or reducer. Designed for astrophotography, the telescope has a 55 mm image circle, suitable for full-frame sensors.

The 3.5″ Rack & Pinion focuser features a 1:10 reduction gear and an integrated 360° rotator for adjusting the camera’s orientation. The rings feature an ergonomic handle, a Losmandy-D bar and holes for mounting accessories such as guide scopes. The retractable dew shield reduces the tube length to 410 mm.
