Diopter telescope from the popular AstroMaster series by Celestron, suitable for beginner observers. The 70AZ model is designed for dual use, performing equally well in astronomical observation (Moon, Planets) as well as terrestrial viewing (landscapes, nature), thanks to the optics that provide an erect (corrected) image.

Mechanical Parts & Mounts

  • Base: Alt-Azimuth mount, which allows movement up-down and left-right.
  • Handling: Features a special handle (pan handle) with integrated locking for smooth movement and easy targeting of objects, functioning similarly to a photographic tripod.
  • Assembly: Quick and easy setup that does not require tools (No-tool setup).
  • Tripod: Sturdy tripod with steel tubes (1.25") and a tray for accessory placement.

Optical Features

  • Design: Achromatic Refractor.
  • Coatings: All optical elements are made of glass and have a Fully Coated coating for improved brightness and image clarity.
  • Image: Provides an erect image (Erect Image optics), making it ideal for terrestrial use.
