The Omegon EQ-2 telescope is a Newtonian reflector designed for observing planets and objects beyond the solar system, such as star clusters, nebulae and some galaxies. Its 130 mm aperture gathers 320 times more light than the naked eye, and under suitable conditions, magnification reaches up to 250x. The tube has a 1.25” focuser for standard eyepieces and filters.
The equatorial mount can be aligned with Polaris and adjusted for latitude. Fine controls on the right ascension and declination axes make it easier to track celestial objects, while the counterweight helps balance the optics. The mirrors can be aligned using the corresponding adjustment screws.
