The Skywatcher Esprit 70 EDX refractor telescope is a triplet apochromat with an objective lens featuring an ED element made from Hoya FCD100 glass. Its corrected optical system minimises chromatic aberration and delivers high-contrast, sharp images for both astrophotography and visual observation. The glass-to-air surfaces feature MHTC coatings, with a maximum light transmission of 99.5%.
The precision rack-and-pinion focuser is CNC-machined and features a reduction gear and a graduated 2.8" drawtube. It does not rotate, while the telescope’s rotation adapter allows the sensor to be aligned with the celestial object.
