I don’t think a better book than The Gruffalo has ever been written... It has a clear logical sequence of events, a repetitive structure and speech patterns, distinctive descriptions (the details of the Gruffalo’s appearance) that activate the imagination and strengthen memory. It presents a small, cute but very clever hero, the little mouse, who faces danger not with strength but with ingenuity. In general, it sharpens strategic thinking and problem-solving, creates a sense of suspense and surprise without becoming frightening, has humor and imagination, strengthens the development of narrative ability, since children can easily retell the story, and highlights self-confidence and cleverness, since the little hero manages to overcome bigger and stronger opponents.

Personally, I was not satisfied at all. It doesn't make much sense and the illustrations are somewhat scary for small children. I am referring to the edition with the pop-up windows.

I gave 4 stars only for the fact that in my opinion it is the classic little story without me discerning a moral lesson... However, it keeps my little one’s interest undiminished and we read it again and again laughing... she doesn’t fully understand the meaning but I believe that if she grows a little more she will understand it; nevertheless, she laughs at the illustrations and the lines and comments on whatever she hears and sees, which I consider essential for me to rate a book positively.

Very beautiful book with nice illustrations. Interesting story that captures the child's attention. It is about a mouse that comes up with clever ways to survive. We have been reading it with my children since they were 3 years old. The cover is not thick like other fairy tales, but it is very well-made.

Excellent! From the age of 4, it became one of his favorites. Short dialogues, repetitive, which the little one learned by heart and says them on his own. I will definitely get more from the same series.

Very clever story, with many repetitions that children enjoy and some rhymes. We have had it for two days. The first afternoon we read it 10 times (the first three consecutively), and the same today!
