The Celestron StarSense Explorer LT 114AZ telescope uses the StarSense Explorer app on a smartphone to determine its position in the night sky and guide observations. The app matches star patterns with its internal database and displays celestial objects visible at that moment, along with on-screen guidance arrows. The 114 mm Newtonian reflector and the altazimuth mount allow you to move and align the telescope with the object you want to observe.
You can observe Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, the Orion Nebula, double stars, Saturn’s rings, and Jupiter’s cloud bands and moons. The app uses the Lost in Space (LISA) algorithm to identify star patterns.
