Description

With the StarSense Explorer, Celestron has reinvented the manual telescope, as it is the first telescope that uses your smartphone to analyze the night sky and calculate its position in real-time.

The new series of telescopes Celestron StarSense Explorer introduces a new way of observing the night sky. It is a true revolution. Until now, Celestron offered two types of altazimuth telescopes: manual and automated NexStar+. But now the StarSense Explorer series offers amateur astronomers a new way to observe the starry sky.

Forget complicated star charts, inaccurate planetarium-type apps, and expensive automated mounts. With the Celestron StarSense Explorer telescopes, finding celestial objects is easier and faster than ever before.

Place your smartphone in the special holder located on the optical tube and launch the StarSense Explorer app. Once the smartphone is aligned with the telescope, a process that takes only a few minutes, you will have all the sights of the night sky at your disposal. Select the object you want from those above the horizon at that time and simply follow the instructions on your smartphone screen, so that by properly adjusting your telescope, you can center that celestial object, whether it's the Moon, a planet, a galaxy, or a nebula. Then, just look through the eyepiece.

Unlike all systems available on the market, including astronomical applications, the patented Starsense Explorer system automatically recognizes the exact orientation of the telescope in the sky with the help of the brightest stars.

How does object tracking work?

Select the object you want to observe from the list suggested by the StarSense Explorer app. The app will show you where to manually point the telescope. Point the telescope following the instructions. Center the object. Now you can start observing.

Compatible with most smartphones on the market

The Celestron StarSense Explorer is compatible with most smartphones on the market. You simply follow the instructions on your smartphone screen to enjoy some of the most beautiful objects in the night sky. Even if you are observing from an urban center, you will have access to many of these objects, including planets and the Moon, the Andromeda galaxy, the Orion nebula, star clusters, and many more.
