The Celestron Astro Fi 102 catadioptric telescope uses a Maksutov-Cassegrain optical system with fully coated glass optics and a 102 mm aperture. Built-in Wi-Fi enables wireless control via the free Celestron SkyPortal app for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices, even in locations without Wi-Fi or cellular service.

With SkyAlign technology, initial alignment is performed by centering three bright objects in the eyepiece, allowing the telescope to calculate its position. The app can also automatically point the telescope at a selected celestial object and display information about it, as well as suggest a tour of visible objects based on the date, time, and location.
