Description

Description

The book you hold in your hands is the mature intellectual offspring of many years of study, research, and engagement with issues of human resources, employment, labor market prospects, and career orientation.

The central focus of the book is the balance between the demand and supply of professions, providing clear and easily understandable information about the positive or negative prospects of approximately seven hundred key professions across the entire Greek economy and the 13 regions of Greek territory.

A special analysis is made of the economic characteristics, employment data, and their prospects, separately for each of these 13 regions. It records the related professions and their correspondence with university study departments, TEI, IEK, and various other levels of education.

It includes tables with indicative job prospects for professions arising from postgraduate studies, while also making suggestions for new educational programs in modern specialties.

Many individual elements are presented regarding the structure of employment, unemployment, and the level of education in comparison to the European Union, along with analyses for various categories of professions, tables with public sector salaries, information on services, employment centers, and career orientation.

Among other things, it contains analyses and definitions on work issues, career orientation, career counseling, the role of parents, tips for job searching and interviews, the drafting of resumes (with specific templates), and the selection process for professions.

The book primarily addresses young people who wish to arm themselves with knowledge of themselves, their capabilities, and their career prospects, as well as parents who are concerned about their children's future. It also pertains to employees who wish to realign their professional careers.

It is aimed at career and human resources advisors, educators, and those responsible for educational and employment programs, entrepreneurs, and personnel managers of businesses, scientists, and specialists in employment and labor relations, as well as any thoughtful person interested in the future of work.

The main purpose of the book is to contribute to preparing our children's professional future, as well as to assist those who wish to improve their working lives or help others do so for the same purpose.
