The Celestron AstroMaster 130EQ-MD telescope has a 130 mm aperture and a German equatorial mount with setting circles for locating and tracking celestial objects. The included right ascension motor tracks objects as they move across the sky, with its speed adjustable to suit the object. No additional tools are needed for setup.
The mount has slow-motion control cables for the right ascension and declination axes. The telescope comes with an adjustable-height aluminum tripod with an accessory tray, 20 mm and 10 mm eyepieces, and a finderscope. The 20 mm eyepiece has a built-in image erector. The motor runs on a 9 V battery and can be used in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.
