Compared to an old one I had, it's day and night in terms of power. It also has speed adjustment.
I don't know about other sanders, but with this one, I easily sanded doors and windows. It didn't heat up at all.
It doesn't take Christs Cratch, only with the connectors.
Some may find it a bit heavy and bulky at first, but you get used to it quickly. It's not.
