The Tignanello estate is located in the heart of the Chianti Classico production area, nestled between the valleys of the Greve and Pesa rivers, and spans approximately 800 acres in total. The vineyards consist mainly of the native Sangiovese grape along with non-traditional varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
Marchese Antinori is a historic wine from the Antinori cellars that has been produced since 2011 using grapes from the Tignanello estate. It is a wine that represents the full expression of the quality and elegance of the Sangiovese in this part of Tuscany.
The wine matures in French and Hungarian oak barrels for about a year. Subsequently, Marchese Antinori Riserva is bottled and given an additional twelve-month bottle aging period before being released.
