- No insert, they just threw everything inside, even the miniatures, which go into plastic bags! Unacceptable for such an expensive game, but common for FFG games

Ladies and gentlemen, if you are looking for a highly thematic cooperative survival horror game where you have to face monsters, solve puzzles, explore places you didn't know existed before, and interact with survivors, then Mansion of Madness second edition is the best option available.
In the Mansion of Madness, you, as the explorers, are called to solve the mystery, which is the objective of the game, and you learn it during the course of the game, not from the beginning if you do well.
The game is relatively easy in terms of rules, as the application guides you, and the instruction leaflets are quite helpful, which is rare. Additionally, with YouTube videos, you will understand even the most complex rules, which are few. We haven't had ANY issues with the application so far.
The game is difficult to win and also requires English proficiency. If you are fans of Silent Hill and Resident Evil (the classic ones when they were survival horror), I have the impression that you will love it. Although it has 4 scenarios, it has a lot of replayability as the map changes every time. (In the game, I remind you that you don't know the map from the beginning, you discover it along the way).

Το παιχνίδι είναι σχετικά εύκολο στους κανόνες καθώς η εφαρμογή σε καθοδηγεί ενώ πράγμα σπάνιο τα φυλλάδια οδηγιών είναι αρκετά βοηθητικά. Επίσης με βίντεο YouTube θα καταλαβαίνετε και τους πιο περίπλοκους κανόνες οι οποίοι είναι λίγοι. Εμείς με την εφαρμογή δεν είχαμε ΚΑΝΕΝΑ θέμα μέχρι στιγμής.
Το παιχνίδι είναι δύσκολο να το κερδίσεις και επίσης θέλει αγγλικά επιπέδου proficiency.
Άμα ειστε λάτρεις του silent hill και resident evil ( των κλασικών τότε που ήταν survival horror) έχω την εντύπωση ότι θα το λατρέψετε. Παρόλο που έχει μέσα 4 σενάρια έχει πολυ επαναληψιμότητα καθώς αλλάζει ο χάρτης κάθε φορά. (Στο παιχνίδι θυμίζω δεν γνωρίζεις εξαρχής τον χάρτη τον ανακαλύπτεις στην πορεία).
Τέλος υπάρχουν και expansions τα οποία φέρνουν και αλλά σενάρια χαρακτήρες κλπ και απογειώνουν και περισσότερο το θεματικό του παιχνιδιού.

In the Mansion of Madness, you, as the explorers, are called to solve the mystery, which is the objective of the game, and you learn it during the course of the game, not from the beginning if you do well.

Finally, there are expansions available, which bring additional scenarios, characters, etc., and further enhance the thematic aspect of the game.

Στην Έπαυλη της τρέλας καλείστε εσείς οι εξερευνητές να λύσετε το μυστήριο, δηλαδή τον σκοπό του παιχνιδιού, το οποίο το μαθαίνετε κατά την διάρκεια και όχι από την αρχή εφόσον τα πάτε καλά.
Το παιχνίδι είναι σχετικά εύκολο στους κανόνες καθώς η εφαρμογή σε καθοδηγεί ενώ πράγμα σπάνιο τα φυλλάδια οδηγιών είναι αρκετά βοηθητικά. Επίσης με βίντεο YouTube θα καταλαβαίνετε και τους πιο περίπλοκους κανόνες οι οποίοι είναι λίγοι. Εμείς με την εφαρμογή δεν είχαμε ΚΑΝΕΝΑ θέμα μέχρι στιγμής.
Το παιχνίδι είναι δύσκολο να το κερδίσεις και επίσης θέλει αγγλικά επιπέδου proficiency.
Άμα ειστε λάτρεις του silent hill και resident evil ( των κλασικών τότε που ήταν survival horror) έχω την εντύπωση ότι θα το λατρέψετε. Παρόλο που έχει μέσα 4 σενάρια έχει πολυ επαναληψιμότητα καθώς αλλάζει ο χάρτης κάθε φορά. (Στο παιχνίδι θυμίζω δεν γνωρίζεις εξαρχής τον χάρτη τον ανακαλύπτεις στην πορεία).
Τέλος υπάρχουν και expansions τα οποία φέρνουν και αλλά σενάρια χαρακτήρες κλπ και απογειώνουν και περισσότερο το θεματικό του παιχνιδιού.

On the positive side, the quality cards, room tiles, and exceptionally atmospheric artwork elevate the thematic elements of the title.
On the negative side, the miniatures and especially the bases they stand on. Similarly, the electronic application that guides you doesn't always seem to correspond to the flow of the game.

Amazing game that requires the use of an app though, so for someone who doesn’t like hybrid games, better skip it...
Negatives:
- The core game and its expansions are very expensive for what’s included, especially for the number of scenarios it unlocks
- Terrible monster bases, unnecessarily large and they cover part of the tiles
- Average quality miniatures, many of which also need gluing!!
- No insert, they just threw everything inside, even the miniatures, which go into plastic bags! Unacceptable for such an expensive game, but common for FFG games
Positives:
+ Perfect and just-right use of the app, which helps without being tiring (personal opinion), doing all the "dirty" work while also changing quite a few things on the tiles etc. when you replay a scenario. Kudos to the creators
+ Very thematic and at the same time horror
+ Amazing artwork and quality on the tiles and cards (even if they’re small)
+ Fantastic gameplay experience
In conclusion: 1) If your first buying criterion is the price, stay away... it’s the complete opposite of value for money 2) If you hate using apps in games, again stay away because it doesn’t play without it
BUT: if you want a horror board game, extremely thematic with mystery, exploration, monsters, and tension, then this is exactly what you need
PERSONAL OPINION: the best game I’ve ever played and I’ve played countless... mystery, exploration, beautiful, monsters, weapons, magic and anything else you can and can’t imagine... in short: THE BEST EXPERIENCE I’VE EVER HAD in a board game
Παιχνιδάρα που απαιτεί χρήση εφαρμογής όμως άρα για κάποιον που δεν τ αρέσουν τα υβριδικά παιχνίδια, ας το προσπεράσει...
Αρνητικά:
- πολύ ακριβό το core game και οι επεκτάσεις του γι αυτά που έχει μέσα και κυρίως για την ποσότητα των σεναρίων που ξεκλειδώνει
- τραγικές βάσεις τεράτων, αχρείαστα μεγάλες που κρύβουν μέρος των tiles
- μέτρια ποιότητα στις μινιατούρες που πολλές χρειάζονται και κόλλημα!!
- δεν υπάρχει insert, απλά έχουν πετάξει μέσα τα πάντα, ακόμα και τις μινιατούρες, που μπαίνουν σε σακουλάκια! Απαράδεκτο για ένα τόσο ακριβό παιχνίδι, αλλά συνηθισμένο για τα παιχνίδια της ffg
Θετικά:
+ Τέλεια και τόσο-όσο η χρήση του app που βοηθάει χωρίς να κουράζει (προσωπική άποψη) κάνοντας όλη τη"βρώμικη" δουλειά ενώ αλλάζει και αρκετά πράγματα στα tiles κλπ όταν παίζεις ξανά το σενάριο. Μπράβο στους δημιουργούς
+ πάρα πολύ θεματικό και ταυτόχρονα horror
+ φοβερή εικονογράφηση και ποιότητα στα tiles αλλά και στις κάρτες(αν και μικρές)

Συμπερασματικά: 1) αν το πρώτο σας κριτήριο για αγορά είναι το οικονομικό, μακριά... είναι το άκρως αντίθετο του value for money 2) αν σιχαίνεστε τη χρήση εφαρμογής στα παιχνίδια, τότε πάλι μακριά γιατί δεν παίζει χωρίς αυτή
