While at the beginning when I bought it, its performance was decent and after I took the backups I needed from my file (about 13-14 recordings on blue ray disks, of which 2-3 got burned), a year later I tried to use it and it doesn't read the br disks that it wrote itself, while a year ago it wrote and read them! I tried a different USB cable, nothing, I tried with a second external power supply again nothing, I tried many times, but while it tries to read, it fails and after the 5th attempt it ejects the disk. Unfortunately, after minimal use, it became useless...

It may be from Verbatim, but it is actually Pioneer, specifically the BDR-UD03. It writes the 25g in 25-26 minutes

I only used it twice, and after a year of not using it, it didn't work no matter what I did. The biggest problem was Verbatim's terrible and non-existent support. They told me it was out of warranty and that was it. I couldn't get it fixed anywhere, even at my own expense. The after-sales service is terrible and there is no technical support if something goes wrong, especially if it's outside of the warranty. I will NEVER purchase anything from Verbatim again.

It is a very good blu-ray writer. I mainly use it for playback but also for recording blu-ray. It is quiet and fast. It is reliable as long as it is used with its own power supply and the dual USB connection as recommended. Especially now that the use of optical media (CD, DVD, Blu-Ray) has decreased, it fully covers any need that exists both on my desktop and laptop.

As a burner, it is satisfactory. I wouldn't say it is compatible with all programs. I have lost many discs during recording. For some strange reason, it only works well with Img Burn. As a player, it is terrible. It disconnects during video playback and you have to constantly plug and unplug the device or power. I don't know if I would buy it again...
