The Hostage Negotiator board game by Van Ryder Games is a strategy game for one player, who takes on the role of a law enforcement agent negotiating the release of hostages. Each round represents a conversation with the criminal, during which cards are played and dice are rolled to increase conversation points, reduce the threat level, and release hostages.
Options include trying to calm the criminal and persuade them to surrender, or stalling until time runs out and the team is sent in to extract the hostages.
