The plastic is not amazing, it doesn’t feel like something that you buy for life, but it’s plug and play and does the job. There were 2x M-disc DVD-R included which is pretty cool if you want to make long lasting backups. There was also a voucher for 2 years storage on ASUS cloud but that didn’t work.

Very good so far, I have no issues except that it makes a little noise, but it's not very annoying. It's worth it at dawn, I recommend it for recording movies, photos, etc. on a CD, but also for viewing movies, photos, etc.

It gives you a gift of 2 M-Discs (DVDR+) to make your test recordings. Before you make your test recordings, however, make sure it gets enough power. It has split cables, 1 USB data and 1 USB power. It's good to connect both, even better if the second one is connected to an external power supply (e.g., mobile phone charger).

It does its job, however, like with all externals, it's good to disconnect it when not in use.

It also supports USB stick mode for use with incompatible devices (e.g., Android TVs, tablets, gaming consoles). You connect it to the device, then press eject to open the tray and then hold the eject button with the tray open for a couple of seconds until the status LED lights up. After that, until you disconnect it, it stays in USB mode and the host system sees a USB stick connected with the contents of the CD inside. After that, it's a matter of software on the host side what will work and what won't.

I got it to convert my approximately 1000 CDs with Apple Music. So far, I have transferred over 500 and there haven't been any issues. It is a bit flimsy (for example, when you close it, you can't hold it from the top because it bends and doesn't close properly, it's not meant for a DJ set), but it works great for ripping.
