Transparent bandage that can be used to cover and protect catheter sites and wounds, to maintain a moist environment for wound healing, and to protect devices on the skin.

Features

  • Provides a waterproof, sterile barrier to external contaminants, including liquids, bacteria, and viruses.
  • In vitro testing shows that the transparent film provides a viral barrier from viruses 27 nm in diameter or larger, while the dressing remains intact without leakage.
  • Made with hypoallergenic, latex-free adhesive that is gentle on the skin, yet secures catheters and other devices firmly in place.
  • Conformable: the dressing flexes with the skin for greater patient comfort.
  • The frame allows for precise and easy placement, minimizing the chance of sticking to gloves or itself.
  • The dressing flexes with the skin for greater patient comfort.
  • Can be worn for up to 7 days.
  • Radiologically transparent.
  • Tegaderm products can be safely left on the patient's skin during radiation therapy treatments.
  • The dressing does not function as a bolus material, with or without 3M Cavilon No Sting Barrier Film (CNSBF).
  • Can be used to maintain a moist wound environment to facilitate autolytic debridement.
  • Helps prevent skin breakdown caused by friction.
