High doses of riboflavin (Vitamin B2), specifically 400 milligrams (mg) per day, control migraines in 80% of cases.

Adding magnesium to riboflavin treatment increases migraine control to nearly 100% of cases.

    Magnesium Glycinate:
Advantage: Preferred/Used form. The glycine component may also reduce stress.

    Magnesium Threonate:
Advantage: Used form/Option. It may have more effects on the central nervous system.

    Magnesium Oxide:
Disadvantage: To be avoided. It is poorly absorbed and causes diarrhea.

    Magnesium Citrate:
Disadvantage: To be avoided. The citrate component may increase aluminum absorption.

For some reason, Solgar changed the size of the capsule and now it is bigger, it is not as yellow as the older smaller ones. I don't know what they added and why, I hope the effectiveness doesn't change.
