I had bought the exact same mount years ago. I had installed it permanently in one spot and it served me without any problems. It broke, due to my own fault, and since it was good and served me for so many years, I decided to buy the same one. After searching the Italian company, I was surprised to see that the exact same mount is still available. After searching here in Greece, I found it and decided to buy three of the same because I wanted to install them elsewhere as well. The mount is from the well-known Italian company "Lampa" and you can also visit the website www.lampa.it. It has good build quality for the money, around 13 euros. I clarify that the mount is Made in China, but that does not matter compared to the quality, functionality, and price. It has a nice cardboard packaging, on the sides there are photos with all the functions, uses, and placements, and on the back there are also written instructions (not in Greek though) about where and how it can be used, and its functional advantages.
Inside the package, there is the mount, the arm with the suction cup, a clip for possible installation of the mount on the car's air vent, and two types of adhesive pads for placing the mount on surfaces where the suction cup cannot "stick". The suction cup is very strong, and on a clean windshield it sticks very firmly and easily with the help of the special safety sealing/unsealing clip.
* The mount has an integrated removable transparent plastic where you can place a photo or a written list of important/useful phone numbers for quick use. And it is visible when no device is installed.
* Automatic button for adjusting the clamp of the mount to the size of the phone or GPS from 45mm to 115mm.
* Strong large suction cup for installation on the windshield or window, or any completely smooth and glossy surface.
* Special clip for mounting the base on the air vents.
* Two special strong adhesive bases for mounting the base on the car dashboard or another non-smooth surface. These bases are of good quality, but how effective they are depends a lot on the type and surface of the plastic, how clean it is, and that it does not polymerize.
* The arm of the mount is 18.5cm long and when the base is installed on the windshield or on the dashboard, the distance to the user is just right and necessary.
* The base clamps the device very well with special soft protective sponges, so it does not get scratched, and there are no vibrations or bumps. Note, on my phone I remove the two round sponges. Depending on your phone and support, you may need to remove them too.
* By holding down the special button on the side arms, the clamping arms open automatically and slowly by themselves!
* You place the device and by pressing both side arms at the same time, they clamp the device as much as you press and lock there automatically.
* You can place and clamp the device even if the device has a rubber protective case or even a "leather" case. In some cases, this may not be functional and you may need to place the device completely "bare".
* The base has a special lock/unlock button at the back so you can rotate the device sideways, upside down, or in any position you need, and with the same button, it locks there.
* To release the device from the base, press and hold the special automatic release button and the arms automatically and slowly open. This may not appeal to some who want to remove the phone from the base very often. However, as a base for secure mechanical holding of the phone, or for permanent installation of the device, it is ideal and effective.
* The base has an opening at the bottom for placing the charging plug/cable of the device and the hands-free cable.
* The base does not obstruct the operation of the camera...
* The base is recommended for permanent installation at one spot in the car.
* Good quality materials.
* Very easy to use and functional.
* Very good clamping of the device - phone.
* Nice and discreet design.
* Ideal base for use on long trips - journeys.

**** Negatives:
- This base is NOT recommended for continuous installation - reinstallation - repositioning, and constant adjustments. However, it is ideal for installation in a permanent spot, with occasional adjustments.
- On certain phones that have side buttons at the very bottom left or right of the device, it is very likely that it will not allow access to use them, because that is where the support arms clamp the device.
- Depending on the device, the clamping arms may press a side button of the device and activate some function, or the device may malfunction. If this happens, be careful how much you tighten the arms on the device, maybe the problem will be solved.
- Not suitable for phones and devices where the charging or hands-free cable plugs are on the sides at the bottom, where the support arms clamp the device.
