Hellanico = Greek. An impressive wine created with long extractions and aged for 15 months in American oak barrels with regular battonage. It has a deep crimson color, with intense, peppery, and complex aromas reminiscent of ripe cherry and strawberry, harmoniously playing with tones of dried plum, morello cherry with hints of pepper and cardamom. Olive paste, cocoa, fresh earth, and animal leather notes complete the ensemble of unique depth.
On the palate, it is rich, with robust yet well-crafted tannins and acidity that gives it a vibrant edge. Dried plum and pepper stand out in the mouth and linger in the very good length finish.
