The Powertech Eco V2 mobile phone features large buttons with Greek letters, a Greek-language menu and a 2.2-inch screen. It supports two SIM cards and includes an SOS button for emergency calls. It also features a camera, a flashlight and an FM radio.
The 900 mAh battery is removable, and the charging limit can be set to 80%. The circuit board has a nano-sealing coating and IP44 protection. The phone supports a microSD card of up to 32 GB, which is not included.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
Users generally find it practical for older people, mainly thanks to its large, easy-to-see buttons and simple operation. They also mention the easy-to-read screen, loud ringtone, flashlight, and useful features such as SOS and the charging dock. However, several users complain that the call volume is low and that the battery or device may develop problems relatively soon.
Positive aspects:
1. It is what it is, a simple mobile phone - for calls and messages - with a target group of elderly people.
2. Very good battery life (USB charging)
3. Good call volume (ringtone) that can be heard by people with hearing problems.
4. Good call volume during communication (speaker/microphone).
5. Large buttons with voice announcement of the dialed numbers.
6. Good screen (for phone purposes) with large fonts and good brightness.
7. Extra features (panic button, speed dial, flashlight, dual SIM, Bluetooth, good radio, etc.)
Negative aspects (for what it is and for the target group it addresses):
1. Cheap plastic parts...
2. The elderly person will need help with initial settings (e.g. time, date, contacts, ringtone, etc.) and a small usage lesson as the menu is not as simple as it seems.
Overall, a good purchase if you know what you want and this is a simple mobile phone for elderly people who want to easily receive and make calls, have a long-lasting battery, easily hear incoming calls, easily read the name or number of the caller, and converse without problems...
Fake construction. The display only works in default settings. Therefore, during navigation, you have to guess the title of each option, as the screen displays only what fits. For the same reason, you cannot understand the order of messages. Obviously, this only makes it difficult for the elderly instead of facilitating them. As for the quality of photos and videos, I don't need to mention that they are terrible, but that's not what this phone and its price are meant for. Needless to say, I wouldn't buy it again.
For incoming calls, the line opens by itself on the first ring of the phone. If you don’t have the phone next to you, you’ve simply missed the call
I had bought a similar, older model for an elderly person, and it was one of the worst things I’ve ever had in my hands! The battery stopped working after a short while, so I bought a second battery, and the same thing happened. The phone’s plastic cover has started to feel sticky (!!!) when you touch it, like plastic that is melting slightly from the heat! Also, some buttons don’t press properly. Absolutely appalling, to put it mildly! It shouldn’t even be on the market
Very low sound in the earpiece unfortunately. Since it is mainly aimed at older people, this is unacceptable.
Not a good choice at all. It does not have the ability to increase the headphone volume and this creates a problem in communication
This phone has a very low earpiece volume!
Other than that, it is as described, but if a loud earpiece is important to you, do not buy it!
The phone is terrible, I got it for my grandmother because her old one broke and I have to say that we've had it for almost 2 months and the phone, when an incoming call comes, you just hear a beep and it answers the call by itself and automatically goes on speakerphone without me having made any settings. Also, the speaker is awful, you can't hear it when you're being called and the call speaker is also not good, it's not audible for older people, so you always have to put it on speakerphone to hear. Also, its battery is non-existent, lasts two days max without use, meaning even if you haven't made a single call, it will die in two days, you need to charge it without even touching the phone. The only positives are that it has a flashlight, big numbers, and a little SOS button on the back that, when pressed, first plays an ambulance siren sound. Now, how useful that is and how audible it is with this particular phone is questionable. My money was wasted, I should have spent a little more and gotten her a better one because now we need a new one.
You can't hear the other person, it has low volume. I took out the battery and put it in the old one which is the same model and it has better sound quality.
We got it for our grandfather (97 years old) as he needed a bigger screen and larger buttons. It took him 2-3 days to get used to the menu for calls etc., and since then he has been very satisfied. It has a loud speaker and good signal. Also, the charging base is very good and works perfectly.
I bought it like everyone else for elderly people. The buttons are good, the screen is good, the ringtone is loud BUT the sound in the earpiece is not good, resulting in THE GRANDPARENTS NOT BEING ABLE TO HEAR US!!!!!!! Unbelievable, there is no volume adjustment nor can we do anything else.
We will change it soon.
Do not buy it if you want it for older people.
The phone has issues. There is no volume adjustment, it cuts off while you are talking, and the caller cannot be heard loudly enough. As a result, it does not serve the purpose for which it was bought - an elderly person with hearing problems. As for the ringtone, there used to be old phones that had a loud ring without advertising that they were for people with hearing problems.
Personally, I chose it because it had the most sales. I bought it for my grandmother, since her previous phone, an Alcatel of the same category, after 11 years developed a problem with some of the keys. Compared to that one, this particular construction is not as durable, especially its screen. However, what made a very negative impression on us is the short battery life. The phone is not used heavily and its battery runs out even when it is idle for an entire day.
Otherwise, in terms of sound, volume, and keys, it is satisfactory and also its "non-slip" back is more convenient in our case (Parkinson's).
It seems to be a decent choice if there isn't going to be heavy use. Its lifespan will show over time.
Unfortunately, the speaker is very low. I can't even hear others myself. Also, the battery drains quickly.
I bought it for a colleague's mother, elderly. So far it is very good and she hasn't mentioned any problem to me.
This is the second device we have bought, the first one barely lasted two years and the battery died. We bought it again because of the low cost.
Purchased twice and each time it lasted only a few months, because the battery broke (it swelled). Okay, it's good that it announces the numbers, that it had a charging base, but... the battery was not good.
Unfortunately, there are few options for devices with large buttons... so we are forced to choose from these! Like everyone, we got it for elderly people. A simple phone, good battery life, loud ringtone, screen etc. okay average (not intended for more uses)... I encountered very poor sound quality with the earpiece, resulting in difficulty communicating with your interlocutor, let alone an elderly person. I returned it as defective... they sent it back to me as "repaired"... result 30 euros in the trash! Do some research in physical stores that also support the warranty of the products at least... don't put yourself through this hassle here!
the worst. the battery lasts no more than three hours, it needs to be charged all the time. it has very poor call quality, the construction is completely fake. I set it aside in short. wasted money
In the end, it is not that easy to use mainly because of the screen that displays the menu text and messages in a single line for you to read, also the battery lost its performance relatively quickly.
Very good for my mother, who is elderly. Large buttons, easy menu, and it also has a flashlight that helps her. The best choice for elderly people and those with vision problems
For elderly people, it is a one-way street.
It has everything an elderly person needs to communicate easily.
It sounds very loud since I have a father with hearing problems.
He hasn't missed a single call since I got it for him.
Ideal for seniors with a relatively large screen, strong sound on the ringtone, also satisfactory speakerphone with call shortcuts to selected contacts with the ability to add photos of the people for easy recognition
For a person who wants to see large letters and numbers, the bell is just right; it is loud
The phone is the worst! Already after 2 months of operation it broke down and does not work. Better give a little more money and choose a similar slightly more expensive one!
After 3 years of use and a battery replacement halfway through, the headset is now broken. It definitely earned its money
I sent it to the remote area for my grandmother to use, and it stopped charging, and now there is no way for her to send it back to me.
Good for elderly users who need it for making calls. The panic button is excellent.
20/11/2024 A year and a half later it works just fine, with a few minor drops it didn't suffer any damage, we bought two more.
12/11/2025 Once a thief, it fell again and... that's it.
Pros: Its battery still lasts, simple, easy to use, had no issues in two and a half years, if it hadn't fallen it would have worked even longer.
Cons: It doesn't sound loud as if it has a low speaker, often doesn't have good signal, it takes but doesn't keep photos.
I bought it for my elderly mother. I saw that she liked it, heard calls well and found it easy to use. That's enough for me, so I bought it.
It serves its purpose 100%.
The SOS button is very convenient and the speaker is very good. Also, the buttons are large and easily distinguishable
I have bought 2 so far for my elderly parents. They work very well.. one of them had a battery problem after 7 months and the second one had an issue with the microphone after 6 months
For incoming calls, the line opens by itself on the first ring of the phone. If you don’t have the phone next to you, you’ve simply missed the call
