Sikaflex®-291i, a marine multipurpose sealant and adhesive. Sikaflex®-291i is a non-sag, one-component polyurethane sealant specially designed for marine applications, which cures with atmospheric moisture. It meets the low flame spread criteria of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO).

Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of grease, oil, and dust. Surface preparation is critical for a long-lasting bond. Sikaflex®-291i can be applied at temperatures between 10 °C and 40 °C.

Tooling and finishing should be done within the material’s skin formation time. The use of Sika® Tooling Agent N is recommended.

Uncured Sikaflex®-291i can be removed from tools with Sika® Remover-208 or another suitable solvent. Once the material has cured, it can only be removed mechanically.

Sikaflex®-291i can be painted after skin formation. The elasticity of paints is generally more limited than that of sealants.
