Every year, the graduating classes of the renowned School of Magic of Ravenrealm compete fiercely to prove their absolute mastery of the mystical arts. For the great final exam, all the wizards from each class must gather at the legendary castle Ravenskeep. However, there is a serious problem: until the very last moment, they all put off studying, distracted by learning new spectacular spells! As if that were not enough, they have used up all their magical potions, and it is unthinkable for them to show up for the exam completely unprepared with empty vials. Your mission is to help your wizards reach Ravenskeep as quickly as possible.
Wandering Towers is a board game from the acclaimed designers Wolfgang Kramer and Michael Kiesling, ideal for 2-6 players aged 8 and up. It also features a Solo / Solitaire Game mode for those who want to play alone, while the build quality bears the signature of AbacusSpiele.
The Final Exam at the School of Magic of Ravenrealm
Every year, the graduating classes of the renowned School of Magic of Ravenrealm compete fiercely to prove their absolute mastery of the mystical arts. For the great final exam, all the wizards from each class must gather at the legendary castle Ravenskeep. However, there is a serious problem: until the very last moment, they all put off studying, distracted by learning new spectacular spells! As if that were not enough, they have used up all their magical potions, and it is unthinkable for them to show up for the exam completely unprepared with empty vials. Your mission is to help your wizards reach Ravenskeep as quickly as possible.
Original Movement and Stacking Towers
To cover the route more easily, the wizards use their magic in a completely unconventional way: they can move the entire towers they are standing on! This unique Track Movement and Stacking and Balancing mechanism allows the towers to be stacked one on top of another, constantly changing the board’s landscape. Through a clever card management mechanism (Hand Management), players are challenged to plan their moves precisely, taking advantage of the towers’ paths to overtake their opponents in an exciting race (Race).
Trap Your Opponents and Fill the Vials
But how will the wizards manage to refill their empty vials during the journey? The little secret of the game lies in the interaction between the players: when you move a tower and trap a wizard underneath it, you manage to imprison part of his magical essence inside a vial! This introduces an excellent memory element (Memory), as you must remember which towers are hiding your own wizards as well as the others'. This tactic creates moments of tension, laughter, and constant twists in every round.
