The Chateau Dauzac is one of the 18 Cinquième Crus in the official 1855 classification, recognized as one of the best wines of Bordeaux. The estate covers 297 acres and has a rich history dating back to 1190.
The owner, Petrus d’Auzac, received the estate as a gift from Richard the Lionheart, King of England. In the 16th century, Chateau Dauzac was recorded in the documents of the Benedictine monks of the Abbey of Sainte-Croix in Bordeaux and had already gained a reputation for its exceptional quality wine.
