The board game Knee Deep in Hexes is a strategy and combat game for two players, featuring a deck-building mechanic. On a distant desert planet, players gather resources, build mining facilities, factories, and troops, and fight for supremacy. Victory is achieved either by destroying the opponent’s headquarters or by evacuating their most valuable units first.
Each player chooses a faction with four companions, each with a unique deck of action and combat cards. The pre-built decks can be used as they are or customized through deck-building. The map can be chosen from a pre-set variation or configured by selecting planet cards. Action cards offer strategic advantages, while battles in the chosen war zone take place at the end of the opponent’s turn, giving them time to rearrange their troops.
