Description

The ASTIR X winery is located on the outskirts of the city of Kalamata, the capital of Messinia in the Peloponnese. The Peloponnese is considered the cradle of Greek wine, as it is a land filled with vineyards since ancient times.

Today, the Peloponnese is the largest wine-growing region in Greece. The winery obtains the precious fruit for its wines from selected vineyards of this blessed land. Its specialized viticulture team is the most essential part of Astir X. This team collaborates with 88 local vine growers, monitoring and caring for the cultivation of the vineyards.

The winery extends over 14 acres and has covered areas of 2,500 sq.m., housing presses, winemakers, and stainless steel cooled tanks with a capacity of 3,000 tons. Wines suitable for aging are stored and matured under ideal conditions in the winery’s cellar, inside French oak barrels of 220 lt, which are regularly renewed. In the cellar, the bottles mature and rest before traveling to wine lovers.
