The Night Soil board game by Matagot is a strategy game for 2 to 5 players, themed around the collection of human waste in Tudor-era London. Players manage competing sanitation companies: at night, they use worker cards to transport waste cubes through the city’s alleyways, earn money, and hire workers.
During the day, workers can advertise the company, secure the favor of local businesses, or improve its assets. Worker gatherings worsen the waste problem, and the winner is the player who has collected the most money by the end of the game.
