Lightweight poncho that protects against harsh weather conditions. It is a waterproof rain cape that can be converted into a shelter, made from tear-resistant rip-stop polyester fabric. It is an improved, lighter version of the US Model Poncho. By replacing the metal rings with loops made of durable webbing, the weight and volume of the cape when folded have been reduced, while its full size is maintained when unfolded.
