    Cabernet Sauvignon

    It produces wines with intense tannins, full body, and characteristic aromas of black fruits (blackcurrant, black cherry), often with notes of cedar, mint, or tobacco. They have excellent aging potential.

    Merlot

    It gives wines with soft tannins, medium acidity, and aromas of red fruits (cherry, plum), often with notes of herbs or chocolate. They are rounder and softer on the palate compared to Cabernet Sauvignon.

    Petit Verdot

    It offers intense color, strong tannins, and aromas of black fruits, violet, and spices, usually in blends.

    Cabernet Franc

    Often used in blends with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, but also produces excellent single-varietal wines. It has a lighter body than Cabernet Sauvignon, with aromas of red fruits (raspberry, cherry), characteristic vegetal notes (pepper, tomato leaves), and sometimes graphite.

Chateau Carbonnieux is one of the oldest and largest estates in the Bordeaux area, with a history spanning nearly 8 centuries.

The vineyard has belonged to the Perrin family for 4 generations and is located around the chateau on the top of a wonderful, gravel-rich hill. A red wine that should be in your cellar.
