Wancher x Kuretake – Yumeginga Maki-e
The Yumeginga Maki-e is the second edition of the collaboration between Wancher and Kuretake, designed for pen enthusiasts seeking the elegance of Maki-e technique in an everyday writing instrument.
The larger barrel of the pen, with black and gold details, impressively highlights the artistic precision of the design.
The Akafuji, Shidarezakura, Kakujuu, and Zuichou Houou designs represent the four fundamental elements of Japanese classical art, known as Kachofugatsu – flower, bird, wind, and moon. Through the modern Kindai Maki-e technique, they are depicted with elaborate and finely crafted patterns that pay homage to the aesthetics and tradition of Japan.
