Users rate the phone very highly, particularly praising its excellent cameras and clear zoom. They also mention good video performance, quick responsiveness, and satisfactory battery life for many. However, some point out high battery consumption and relatively slow charging with a third-party charger.
Excellent cameras with a few settings. I couldn’t upload a video of the moon at night to show the impressive results with the Pro video mode. The footage is really very good, except that it doesn’t zoom in very much. With normal use and the phone connected to the internet, the battery easily lasts 3 days. Possibly even longer. If I don’t spend much time on social media, it definitely lasts longer. I also bought its own SuperVOOC charger because even with my sister’s compatible OnePlus charger, charging is relatively slow. It needs its own charger. Other than that, it’s a very good phone.
Very good! Powerful cameras, zoom, nighttime shots—it captures everything. Good video stabilization, colors, and good at night too (1080 60)!! It also has a very good editor!
Battery is fine. I expected a difference from the 5800 I had, but nope..
The phone is awesome, the battery lasts from the morning of one day until the afternoon of the next with moderate to frequent use. The photos are incredible, especially the zoom, there’s nothing like it; you can take a picture of something with letters from 100+ meters away and see them clearly. I even put it next to a Samsung S25 and there’s no comparison in my photo and clarity.

I ordered this phone:
"Realme 16 Pro+ 5G Dual SIM (12/512GB) Gold"
(while I had the iPhone 13 Pro Max, which I sold).
1 thing I will tell you, before I say the rest...
.
"Very High Battery Consumption"
.
After receiving it, the first thing I did was enable Flight Mode
(airplane mode), because I want and use the phone purely as a tablet.
(since I use a button phone, the Servo V8100 with 4 SIM cards)
I do not regret switching back from iPhone to an Android phone.
I do not want to see iPhone again (for now. In the future we will see).
The "Realme 16 Pro+ 5G Dual SIM (12/512GB) Gold" is a very beautiful phone.
Wonderful back, where you are afraid you might dirty it with your fingers, and you don't know how you will clean it.
In terms of photography, in my eyes it produces much better results than the iPhone 13 Pro Max. I have not shot video yet in 4K.
Battery Health: 100% (of course, brand new).
.
Now:
I immediately made the Battery Power Saving settings...
* I selected Dark Mode on the screen.
* I selected Extreme Power Saving (not Standard).
* I selected to charge up to 80% and stop charging.
* I selected for the X apps not to run in the background...
* I selected to notify at 15% low battery.
* I selected 60Hz refresh rate (low for power saving)
* I selected not to have a visible numeric battery percentage,
next to the battery icon at the top right of the screen...
As well as some other settings I saw from users (abroad) on YouTube who suggested settings for Maximum battery saving... and:
.
I immediately set it to charge up to 80% and stop charging as I had configured it.
And I immediately turned it off (powered it down), because I no longer needed it.
Well, the next day as soon as I turned on (powered up) the device, after holding the right button down with my finger for about 5 seconds...
How many minutes had I had the device on and was digging through the menus and settings to learn them? 15 minutes? 30 minutes?
Within about 1 hour, from 80% it had dropped to 77%.
With all the above actions I mentioned set, for maximum battery power saving.
I do not know what else could be causing it, but the phone has what I mentioned at the beginning:
"Very High Battery Consumption"
It has nice colors. I would say it competes directly with the iPhone 17 Pro Max + the Samsung S26 Ultra, it just does not have the very large optical zoom that the Samsung S26 Ultra has.
It also comes with a transparent silicone case, which I did not touch at all, nor did I put it on the phone, so I could protect it as factory-new...
And I ordered another transparent silicone case (extra) as a spare to put on the phone. So that the phone's beautiful back is also highlighted-shown.
.
So everything is fine with the phone.
You do not need to spend, for example,
1,500 euros for an iPhone 17-18 Pro Max phone
or
around 1,800 euros for an OPPO Find X9 Ultra 5G
just for show and vanity.
With the "Realme 16 Pro+ 5G Dual SIM (12/512GB) Gold", if you want it purely as a tablet, and not as a phone, permanently in Flight Mode (airplane mode) as well as for photos or videos, I would recommend it with my eyes closed...
It is also a cheap phone and it is very competitive with the others I mentioned above, namely:
* iPhone 17 Pro Max
* Samsung S26 Ultra
* OPPO Find X9 Ultra 5G
Regardless of its high battery power consumption.
.
P.S.:
Besides, think about this too:
When you leave home in the morning, go somewhere, and return in the evening, and you are afraid you might run out of battery?
* On a camping trip?
* On vacation in the jungle?
The battery will do just fine with Flight Mode (airplane mode) for 2-3 days if you surf the Internet nonstop.
Now, if you choose to use the phone with the Nano-SIM card inside, and have:
* Internet (Wi-Fi) enabled
* Bluetooth enabled to talk on the phone with headphones...
* Make or receive calls...
* Send or receive SMS messages...
* Talk on Viber...
* Talk on WhatsApp
...then how long do you expect the phone's battery saving to last?
1 day? 1.5 days? definitely 2 days at most.
In such a case, you also need a large-capacity Power Bank of at least 10,000mAh and above, so you never run out if you are thinking about battery life.
.
P.S.2:
Based on 3 filters I used in Skroutz search for a good phone, before buying this "Realme 16 Pro+ 5G Dual SIM (12/512GB) Gold" such as:
* To be a 2026 model
* To have a 200mp camera
* To have a screen of 6.5" (inches) and above
This "Realme 16 Pro+ 5G Dual SIM (12/512GB) Gold" in my eyes, is one of the best among the cheaper ones, among the results, and it easily competes with the more expensive phones in the search results!

Πόσα λεπτα την ειχα την συσκευη αναμμένη και ξεψάχνιζα τα μενού και τις ρυθμίσεις για να τις μάθω; 15 λεπτα; 30 λεπτα;
* Iphone 17 Pro Max
* Samsung S26 Ultra
* OPPO Find X9 Ultra 5G
Οταν θα φυγετε το πρωι απο το σπιτι, που θα πατε και θα γυρισετε το βραδυ, και φοβαστε μην ξεμεινετε απο Μπαταρια;
* Σε Κατασκηνωση;
* Σε Διακοπες στη ζούγκλα;
* Ιντερνετ (Wi-Fi) Ενεργοποιημενο
* Βluetooth (Ενεργοποιημένο) για να μιλατε στο τηλεφωνο με ακουστικά...
* Κάνετε ή λαμβάνετε Κλήσεις...
* Στέλνετε ή δέχεστε SMS μυνηματα...
* Μιλάτε στο Viber...
* Mιλάτε στο What's App
...ε τότε ποσο να σας κρατησει εξοικονόμηση μπαταρίας το τηλεφωνο;

* iPhone 17 Pro Max
* Samsung S26 Ultra
* OPPO Find X9 Ultra 5G
Regardless of its high battery power consumption.
.
P.S.:
Besides, think about this too:
When you leave home in the morning, go somewhere, and return in the evening, and you are afraid you might run out of battery?
* On a camping trip?
* On vacation in the jungle?
The battery will do just fine with Flight Mode (airplane mode) for 2-3 days if you surf the Internet nonstop.
Now, if you choose to use the phone with the Nano-SIM card inside, and have:
* Internet (Wi-Fi) enabled
* Bluetooth enabled to talk on the phone with headphones...
* Make or receive calls...
* Send or receive SMS messages...
* Talk on Viber...
* Talk on WhatsApp
...then how long do you expect the phone's battery saving to last?
1 day? 1.5 days? definitely 2 days at most.
* To be a 2026 model
* To have a 200mp camera
* To have a screen of 6.5" (inches) and above
This "Realme 16 Pro+ 5G Dual SIM (12/512GB) Gold" in my eyes, is one of the best among the cheaper ones, among the results, and it easily competes with the more expensive phones in the search results!

* iPhone 17 Pro Max
* Samsung S26 Ultra
* OPPO Find X9 Ultra 5G
Regardless of its high battery power consumption.
.
P.S.:
Besides, think about this too:
When you leave home in the morning, go somewhere, and return in the evening, and you are afraid you might run out of battery?
* On a camping trip?
* On vacation in the jungle?
The battery will do just fine with Flight Mode (airplane mode) for 2-3 days if you surf the Internet nonstop.
Now, if you choose to use the phone with the Nano-SIM card inside, and have:
* Internet (Wi-Fi) enabled
* Bluetooth enabled to talk on the phone with headphones...
* Make or receive calls...
* Send or receive SMS messages...
* Talk on Viber...
* Talk on WhatsApp
...then how long do you expect the phone's battery saving to last?
1 day? 1.5 days? definitely 2 days at most.
* To be a 2026 model
* To have a 200mp camera
* To have a screen of 6.5" (inches) and above
This "Realme 16 Pro+ 5G Dual SIM (12/512GB) Gold" in my eyes, is one of the best among the cheaper ones, among the results, and it easily competes with the more expensive phones in the search results!

Πόσα λεπτα την ειχα την συσκευη αναμμένη και ξεψάχνιζα τα μενού και τις ρυθμίσεις για να τις μάθω; 15 λεπτα; 30 λεπτα;
* Iphone 17 Pro Max
* Samsung S26 Ultra
* OPPO Find X9 Ultra 5G
Οταν θα φυγετε το πρωι απο το σπιτι, που θα πατε και θα γυρισετε το βραδυ, και φοβαστε μην ξεμεινετε απο Μπαταρια;
* Σε Κατασκηνωση;
* Σε Διακοπες στη ζούγκλα;
* Ιντερνετ (Wi-Fi) Ενεργοποιημενο
* Βluetooth (Ενεργοποιημένο) για να μιλατε στο τηλεφωνο με ακουστικά...
* Κάνετε ή λαμβάνετε Κλήσεις...
* Στέλνετε ή δέχεστε SMS μυνηματα...
* Μιλάτε στο Viber...
* Mιλάτε στο What's App
...ε τότε ποσο να σας κρατησει εξοικονόμηση μπαταρίας το τηλεφωνο;
