The tug SMIT ROTTERDAM, as well as its sister ship SMIT LONDON, belong to the Scale Model Figures category. These tugs were built in 1975 by the "De Merwede" shipyard in Hardinxveld-Giessendam (Netherlands) and have a power output of 22,000 horsepower. They are designed to tow very heavy elements, such as offshore platforms, in all weather conditions.
