A chilling, dark science fiction adventure from the creators of Returnal

Under the shadow of a foreboding eclipse, Arjun Devraj (Rahul Kohli, star of The Haunting of Bly Manor and Midnight Mass) is a Soltari enforcer who will stop at nothing to find answers about the shape-shifting world of Carcosa, a planet filled with dark secrets and hostile inhabitants.

Come back stronger

With the "Second Chance" feature, you can immediately return after your first death, helping you get straight back into the action. Additionally, you can permanently enhance your equipment with an evolving set of weapons and upgrades to overcome the challenges you face in Carcosa.

Advanced Bullet Dance

Unleash a high-tech arsenal as you dodge, shield, and parry enemy attacks in a smooth, dance-like manner that captivates you. Combine abilities and learn your enemies' attack patterns to gain the advantage, even when the odds seem against you.

Constant Evolution

After each run, you will face a changed world. The permanent supplies you acquire ensure that this world will yield to you, but the distorting effect of the Eclipse touches every corner of this transformative world, revealing new paths in every ecosystem and awakening madness in everyone and everything.

Build Your Power

Between your journeys, return to the Passage to view your permanent progress and meet a cast of characters. As your crew from Echelon IV begins to succumb to the madness brought by the Eclipse, you will start to wonder who among the people you once relied on is worthy of your trust.

Otherworldly Sound

The rich details of Carcosa and its inhabitants come to life with atmospheric 3D soundscapes inspired by science fiction, complemented by a dark electronic soundtrack from two-time Grammy Award winner Sam Slater.

The power is in your hands

Experience the mind-bending journey of Carcosa with the dynamic adaptive triggers of the DualSense® wireless controller, as Arjun's memories, suit, and weaponry evolve under the intense corrosive influence of the Eclipse.

This and Returnal are currently the games I enjoy the most on PlayStation. I think it is much better than its predecessor; the movement and feel are better, and in terms of difficulty it is quite to very much more manageable, since after 2 hours of playing I managed to reach the first final boss. It is addictive because everything you have acquired remains and you keep upgrading all the time. The graphics are excellent. I also like that it shows you some tutorial and story and doesn’t throw you straight into the deep and unknown. I probably will never finish Returnal, but the experience of both is fantastic.

Excellent combat, Housemarque remains top-tier in fast third-person shooters. The gameplay combines bullet-hell, dodge mechanics, and roguelite progression with a very high sense of reward. If someone has played Returnal, they will love it.

Incredible graphics (not that it matters), and excellent sound design.
From me, 5 stars even though it has 1-2 negatives.

    Negatives:
The difficulty is a bit schizophrenic. Essentially, it's made for you to play each biome separately. If you do a continuous run, it just becomes too easy.
There is still no endless mode.
Its price is quite steep for the amount of gameplay it currently offers (around 50 hours).

Very good, but the ceiling is €50, not €80....
