Matagot’s board game Inis is a strategy game inspired by Celtic history and mythology, in which players compete for the title of king or queen of the island. At the beginning of each round, they draft action cards, which they use to strengthen their clan’s position and influence their opponents’ moves. Victory can be achieved in three ways: by leading in territories containing opponents’ clans, being present in different territories, or being present in territories with sanctuaries.

The cards include actions such as adding and moving clans, exploring, building, and taking special actions. Players also use leadership and epic tale cards inspired by ancient Irish gods and heroes, while deeds lower the threshold required for one of the victory conditions. Each clan’s figures represent warriors, woodsmen, shepherds, and merchants.
