P.G.I. Avdira Thrace
In Thrace, next to the Thracian Sea, are Avdira. Viticulture has been practiced in the hilly areas of the region since ancient times. In 1999, the Vourvoukelis family, with a vision to revive the famous vineyard of Avdira, planted 20 acres with native and foreign wine grape varieties. Gradually, a privately owned vineyard of 120 acres was developed, cultivated according to the rules of organic farming.

Classic white vinification after cold extraction, static racking, and fermentation of the clear must at a controlled temperature of 16–18°C. The wine remains with its lees for greater volume in the final result. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks.
