The OptiMate 4 Quad Program is the most advanced powersport charger in the world.
It is designed to meet the needs of modern high-tech motorcycles, ATVs, and Side-by-Sides. It offers the option to choose between 4 different charging programs, allowing direct connection to the battery or connection via the factory 12V socket (CAN-bus) on BMW and Triumph motorcycles.
The 4 Operating Programs (Quad Program) The user can easily select the desired mode:
- Program 1 (Lead - Direct): For classic batteries (STD, AGM, GEL) with direct connection to the terminals.
- Program 2 (Lead - BMW CAN-bus): For lead/AGM batteries with charging via the 12V DIN socket on BMW motorcycles, without using the key.
- Program 3 (Lithium - Direct): For modern Lithium batteries (LiFePO4 / LFP) with direct connection to the terminals.
- Program 4 (Lithium - BMW CAN-bus): For Lithium batteries with charging via the CAN-bus system (e.g., on newer BMW GS1300 models).
Main Features & Technologies
- BMS Reactivation (BMS Reset): In the Lithium program, it automatically sends a special pulse signal to “wake up” and unlock the battery’s internal management system (BMS) if it has shut down due to excessive discharge.
- Advanced Recovery from 0.5V: Features an automatic 9-stage rescue program. It restores deeply discharged lead batteries (smart desulfation) and lithium batteries, starting charging from an extremely low voltage (0.5V).
- CAN-bus Compatibility: Fully bypasses the electronic “lock” of BMW motorcycles, keeping the charging supply open at the 12V socket even with the ignition off.
- Health Diagnostic Test (S.O.H.): Performs automatic checks before and after charging. It tests the battery’s ability to hold its charge and accurately reports via LED indicators.
- Safe 24/7 Maintenance: Suitable for permanent connection without supervision during winter storage. Protects against overcharging, short circuits, and sparks.
