The pastel squares from Cretacolor are traditional stiff pastel sticks measuring 7 cm (length) x 6 mm. They are characterized by their soft texture and distinctive marking. Thanks to their high pigment content, they create rich layers and offer vivid and bright colors.
They are available in 72 different shades. The square shape allows for quick, bold strokes or the creation of fine, delicate lines using the edges. The colors can be easily blended either by hand or with tools such as a tortillon, and can be dissolved with water to produce beautiful watercolor effects.
The Cretacolor pastel squares harmonize well with the colors of pastel pencils or other products from the same company. For easy handling, a pastel extender is recommended to prevent breaking of the pastel.
