    Verified purchase

I bought it to replace a Rowenta SO6510 which gave up the ghost ingloriously. If it lasts over time, it will definitely be one of the best purchases I've made. The differences with the aforementioned model are many and all for the better.

Its design is very elegant and the carrying handle is very convenient. The lid for protection against liquids fits very well without giving the impression that it increases the size of the device. It comes with a two-meter cable which is more than enough and definitely much longer than the previous one. On the underside, it has a plunger that stops its operation if it tips over, something that was unjustifiably missing from the SO6510 and is definitely a very positive addition in terms of safety.

Its buttons are redesigned compared to the previous series (SO6510/SO6511) and are more comfortable in the hand. The selector is quite stiff and clicks much more reliably into the required positions, something I didn't have with the previous one as sometimes if I handled it quickly the selector might stay between the two heating options. It has three heating levels (1000/1400/2400 Watt) and not two as stated on the Skroutz page, with the eco being for low heating but truly silent and much better in performance than I expected. The other two are quite noisy but with the expected difference in performance. In turbo mode, I did not notice more noise than in option two. The thermostat is looser than the selector and has a micro-step feel accompanied by an almost imperceptible click at each micro-step. This gives a very good feeling during use.

Regardless of what the Skroutz page says, the fan heater has a cold air function and it is quite satisfactory. In fact, my old one would eat its dust.

All this at a much better price than the SO6510/SO6511.
