The FR-AV4 is not just a portable 4-channel recording device – it is a comprehensive solution for videographers, content creators, and audio professionals.

With dual A/D converters, low-noise microphone preamps Ultra HDDA from Tascam, and 32-bit float resolution, it records every detail — from the quietest whispers to the loudest explosions — with crystal-clear clarity and no risk of distortion. Thanks to the built-in timecode generator and HDMI synchronization, the FR-AV4 seamlessly integrates into any professional video and audio workflow.

Dual A/D converters and 32-bit float analysis provide over 133 dB dynamic range with extremely low distortion. The four XLR/TRS combo inputs feature Ultra HDDA low-noise preamps (EIN –127 dBu), ensuring top-notch clarity even in the most demanding environments.

Advanced Recording & Mixing Technology

The built-in mixer allows flexible routing: record four channels plus a stereo mix (total 6 channels) directly to an SDXC card.

Precise Synchronization

The integrated timecode generator ensures stable synchronization across the setup without additional equipment. It supports HDMI I/O, dedicated timecode input/output, camera output, and wireless synchronization with Atomos via Bluetooth (optional AK-BT2 adapter).

32-bit Float Audio Interface

The FR-AV4 also functions as a USB-C audio interface with 6 inputs and 2 outputs for Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android – with the same wide dynamic range and clipping-free recordings.
