The Hawker Sea Hurricane was created as a sea version of the legendary Hurricane fighter aircraft of the Royal Air Force. It was immediately needed for convoy escort in 1941, and the standard Hurricanes were equipped with rescue hooks and reinforced landing gear systems. The Mk.IIC version features improved armament with four heavier 20mm Hispano cannons and proved to be highly effective against German long-range reconnaissance aircraft. Today, only a few specimens remain, making this model a special way to pay tribute to this historic aircraft.
