Threaded inserts (CNC-milled) made from high-quality brass alloy are practical accessories that can be used to convert 3D printed plastic components (from PLA, PETG, ABS, etc.) into practical and versatile parts.
Cadmium-free and lead-free threaded inserts are inserted or melted into place with a soldering iron. They increase the strength of the connection by bonding the spiral insert with the material and remaining securely in position.
For maximum connection strength, insert the brass inserts at a temperature 10-20°C higher than the printing temperature. It is also recommended that only 90% of the threaded inserts are melted with a soldering iron — the remaining ones can be mounted into the part with a tool.
Advantages at a glance:- suitable for all thermoplastics
- suitable also for SLA resin (note: the inserts are glued in this case!)
- cadmium-free and lead-free
- REACH and RoHS compliant
- durable and sturdy
- creates strong bonds
