I like the low temperature of the device during use. I also like the low battery consumption. I also like that in the battery section, the battery health and the number of charging cycles are displayed, information that was not shown on my previous Samsungs, the A34 and A55, which also had 8GB RAM and 256GB device memory. The plastic construction helps keep the temperature low, unlike the A55 due to its aluminum frame and the back of the device being made of glass. In the summer, with the heat, the A55 would get excessively hot, it kept working but at the expense of the battery, which drained quickly. Last summer, with the extreme heat, the A33 from Samsung performed excellently and didn’t get hot! That’s why I got the A17. I hope it will handle the heat in the summer like the A33. After all, both have a 5-nanometer processor. Finally, I like that it has 6 software updates. In this area, I didn’t like that the A55 received 2 software updates very close together this year, the first in May and the second in October. Samsung needs to understand that this is to its detriment. If other companies offered many software updates, we might not buy Samsung phones! If the A55 received 6 software updates, I wouldn’t have bought the A17! Lastly, about the single speaker, I’ll say two things: 1/ it’s very loud, and 2/ four years ago, I got my first phone with stereo sound. The experience was amazing when listening to music and music videos, but not good when playing games. I can’t find anything negative about the A17. I received it on November 24th and until today, December 16th, I haven’t had any problems! My usage is mainly a lot of gaming and quite a bit of YouTube, so obviously I charge it twice a day, once at noon and once at night before I go to sleep.

Μου αρέσει ακόμα στήν ενότητα της μπαταρίας, αναγράφεται η υγεία της μπαταρίας και ο αριθμός κύκλων φόρτισης, στοιχεία πού δεν αναγράφονται στά προηγούμενα Samsung πού έχω τά Α34 καί Α55 επίσης με 8gb ram και 256gb μνήμης συσκευής. Η πλαστική κατασκευή βοηθάει στην χαμηλή θερμοκρασία, σε αντίθεση με το Α55 λόγω του πλαισίου αλουμινίου αλλά και του πίσω μέρος της συσκευής πού είναι από γυαλί. Το καλοκαίρι με τήν ζέστη πού είχε, τό Α55 ζεστένονταν υπερβολικά, συνέχισε νά δουλέυη είς βάρος όμως της μπαταρίας, πού άδειαζε μέ γρήγορο ρυθμό. Τό περσινό καλοκαίρι, μέ τήν υπερβολική ζέστη, μέ έβγαλε ασπροπρόσωπο, τό Α33 της Samsung πού δέν καταλάβεναι ζέστη! Γι' αυτό πήρα τό Α17. Ευελπιστώ το καλοκαίρι νά συμπεριφερθή στήν ζέστη, όπως το Α33. Αλλοστε έχουν καί τα δύο, επεξεργαστή 5 νανομέτρον. Τέλος, μου αρέσει πού έχει 6 ενημερώσεις λογισμικού. Σ' αυτό τον τομέα δέν μου άρεσε που το Α55, πήρε φέτος 2 ενημερώσεις λογισμικού κοντά-κοντά, τήν πρώτη τον μάϊο καί ή δεύτερη τον οκτώβριο. Πρέπει νά καταλάβη ή Samsung, ότι είναι είς βάρος της αυτό. Αν οι άλλες εταιρίες έδιναν πολλές ενημερώσεις λογισμικού πιθανόν να μήν αγοράζαμε κινητά Samsung! Αν το Α55 έπαιρνε 6 ενημερώσεις λογισμικού, δεν θά έπαιρνα το Α17! Τέλος για το μονό ηχείο, θα πώ 2 πράγματα:1/ είναι πολύ δυνατό, καί 2/ τέσσερα χρόνια πρίν, πήρα το πρώτο κινητό με στερεοφωνικό ηχο. Η εμπειρία ήταν καταπληκτική όταν άκουγα μουσική καί μουσικά βιντεο, αλλά όχι καλή όταν παίζω παιχνίδια. Δεν μπορώ νά βρώ κάποιο αρνητικό στό Α17. Τό παρέλαβα 24 Νοεμβρίου καί μέχρι σήμερα 16 Δεκεμβρίου, δεν μου έχει βγάλη κάποιο πρόβλημα! Η χρήση που του κάνω, είναι κυρίως πολύ παιχνίδι καί αρκετό YouTube, οπότε εννοήται ότι το φορτίζω δύο φορές την ημέρα, μία το μεσημέρι και μία το βράδυ πρίν κοιμηθώ.

I got it as a second phone to put my work SIM in, but it has been a real pain. It is extremely slow. For example: I press the call button and it makes the call 2 seconds later. And if 2 seconds seems like a short time to you, time it and see. Also, now with the heat, it has frozen twice while I’m trying to answer a call. In general, I am not at all satisfied with this particular model.

It seems good so far, I disabled 5G to make the battery last a bit longer, although it does get quite hot and as soon as I turned it on it asked for three updates. It also has NFC even though the description says it doesn't.

Δέν τό χρησιμοποιώ γιά παιχνίδια ποτέ, γιά αυτά άς επιλέξουν άλλα κινητά.
Γενικά θά αγοράζω πάντοτε τήν σειρά Α πάντοτε στό μέλλον, είναι αξιόπιστη πλήρως.

Guys, honestly, I upgrade regularly (phones, my computer hardware), I don’t have a problem with that, but I got the A16 only for government/banking transactions. The A17 is exactly identical but quite a bit more expensive. For heaven’s sake, they didn’t even bother to change/improve ONE feature. Get the A16 since, as I said, it is identical while being 50+ euros cheaper. I have already received the upgrade to Android 15 (now Android 16), ONE-UI 8.5, just like the A17 which comes with Android 16 preinstalled. The only difference, plus one year of updates, until 2031 instead of 2030, which doesn’t matter that much for such a cheap phone. I don’t see myself keeping it for more than six years. I’m waiting for the Poco X/F 8 to come out and for six months to pass so the price drops sharply, because if you look at the specs, your jaw will drop, and all this initially at 325 euros for the Pro and 550 for the Pro Max, which has absolutely nothing to envy from phones over 1000 euros. Otherwise, for 130 euros (the A16 - 4/128GB), it’s very honest value for similar jobs to mine or for a simple phone without much fuss.
The stereo speakers and especially Dolby Atmos make a difference (and of course the processor too, but we’re going too far), however, Atmos and stereo speakers start from the A57 and up. The A16/17 has a single speaker, but as I said, for the job I want it for, it’s perfect for me.
P.S. Basically, they also removed a very valuable feature for those who use it: NFC. I don’t carry my cards with me. I have them loaded into Google Wallet, except for the main one of course, which there is no way it will ever be added to any electronic device and used for electronic purchases. If something goes wrong, I’m literally ruined. Card scams are countless out there. I only use a debit card, with only 5000 euros in it, and a prepaid card for small expenses with 1000 euros. If those get stolen, it’s not the end of the world.

Περιμένω να βγει το Poco X/F 8 και ένα εξάμηνο να πέσει κατακόρυφα η τιμή διότι αν δείτε χαρακτηριστικά, θα σας πέσει το σαγόνι και όλα αυτά αρχικώς με 325 ευρώ για το Pro και 550 για το Pro Max το οποίο δεν έχει τίποτε μα τίποτε να ζηλέψει από κινητά άνω των 1000 ευρώ. Κατά τα άλλα, για 130 ευρώ (το Α16 - 4/128GB), πολύ έντιμο για παρόμοιες με τις δικές μου δουλειές ή για απλό κινητό δίχως πολλά-πολλά.
Τα Stereo ηχεία και ιδίως με Dolby Atmos κάνουν διαφορά (και φυσικά ο επεξεργαστής αλλά ξεφεύγουμε πολύ), ωστόσο, Atmos και στερεοφωνικά ηχεία, από το Α57 και πάνω. To A16/17, μoνό ηχείο, αλλά όπως προείπα, για την δουλειά που το θέλω, μου είναι «κουτί».
Υ.Γ. Βασικά, αφαίρεσαν και ένα πολύτιμο χαρακτηστικό για όσους το χρησιμοποιούν, το NFC. Δεν κουβαλάω τις κάρτες μαζί μου. Τις έχω περασμένες στο πορτοφόλι της Google, εκτός από τη βασική εννοείται η οποία δεν υπάρχει περίπτωσει να περασθεί σε καμία ηλεκτρονική συσκευή και να χρησιμοποιηθεί για ηλεκτρονική αγορά. Αν κάτι πάει στραβά, καταστράφηκα κυριολεκτικά. Τα Scams με κάρτες, αμέτρητα εκεί έξω, Χρησιμοποιώ μόνο Χρεωστική (Debit) έχοντας μόνο 5000 ευρώ μέσα και μια προπληρωμένη (Prepaid) για μικροέξοδα με 1000 ευρώ. Αυτές αν μου τις υποκλέψουν, δεν χάλασε και ο κόσμος.

Τέλος για το μονό ηχείο, θα πώ 2 πράγματα:1/ είναι πολύ δυνατό, καί 2/ τέσσερα χρόνια πρίν, πήρα το πρώτο κινητό με στερεοφωνικό ηχο. Η εμπειρία ήταν καταπληκτική όταν άκουγα μουσική καί μουσικά βιντεο, αλλά όχι καλή όταν παίζω παιχνίδια. Δεν μπορώ νά βρώ κάποιο αρνητικό στό Α17. Τό παρέλαβα 24 Νοεμβρίου καί μέχρι σήμερα 16 Δεκεμβρίου, δεν μου έχει βγάλη κάποιο πρόβλημα! Η χρήση που του κάνω, είναι κυρίως πολύ παιχνίδι καί αρκετό YouTube, οπότε εννοήται ότι το φορτίζω δύο φορές την ημέρα, μία το μεσημέρι και μία το βράδυ πρίν κοιμηθώ.

I got it as a second phone to put my work SIM in, but it has been a real pain. It is extremely slow. For example: I press the call button and it makes the call 2 seconds later. And if 2 seconds seems like a short time to you, time it and see. Also, now with the heat, it has frozen twice while I’m trying to answer a call. In general, I am not at all satisfied with this particular model.
Το πήρα ως δεύτερο κινητό για να βάλω την κάρτα της δουλειάς αλλά μου έχει βγάλει την ψυχή. Είναι εξαιρετικά αργό. Για παράδειγμα: πατάω το κουμπί για κλήση και την πραγματοποιεί 2 δευτερόλεπτα αργότερα. Κι αν σας φαίνεται λίγος χρόνος τα δυο δευτερόλεπτα μετρήστε το να δείτε. Επίσης τώρα με τις ζέστες, δυο φορές μου έχει κολλήσει ενώ προσπαθώ να απαντήσω κλήση. Γενικά δεν είμαι καθόλου ευχαριστημένη από το συγκεκριμένο μοντέλο.
It seems good so far, I disabled 5G to make the battery last a bit longer, although it does get quite hot and as soon as I turned it on it asked for three updates. It also has NFC even though the description says it doesn't.

Είναι γρήγορο στό σερφάρισμα στά κοινωνικά δίκτυα, καί στήν google.
Δέν τό χρησιμοποιώ γιά παιχνίδια ποτέ, γιά αυτά άς επιλέξουν άλλα κινητά.
Γενικά θά αγοράζω πάντοτε τήν σειρά Α πάντοτε στό μέλλον, είναι αξιόπιστη πλήρως.
Είναι τό δεύτερο πού αγοράζω αυτής τής σειράς..

Guys, honestly, I upgrade regularly (phones, my computer hardware), I don’t have a problem with that, but I got the A16 only for government/banking transactions. The A17 is exactly identical but quite a bit more expensive. For heaven’s sake, they didn’t even bother to change/improve ONE feature. Get the A16 since, as I said, it is identical while being 50+ euros cheaper. I have already received the upgrade to Android 15 (now Android 16), ONE-UI 8.5, just like the A17 which comes with Android 16 preinstalled. The only difference, plus one year of updates, until 2031 instead of 2030, which doesn’t matter that much for such a cheap phone. I don’t see myself keeping it for more than six years. I’m waiting for the Poco X/F 8 to come out and for six months to pass so the price drops sharply, because if you look at the specs, your jaw will drop, and all this initially at 325 euros for the Pro and 550 for the Pro Max, which has absolutely nothing to envy from phones over 1000 euros. Otherwise, for 130 euros (the A16 - 4/128GB), it’s very honest value for similar jobs to mine or for a simple phone without much fuss.
The stereo speakers and especially Dolby Atmos make a difference (and of course the processor too, but we’re going too far), however, Atmos and stereo speakers start from the A57 and up. The A16/17 has a single speaker, but as I said, for the job I want it for, it’s perfect for me.
P.S. Basically, they also removed a very valuable feature for those who use it: NFC. I don’t carry my cards with me. I have them loaded into Google Wallet, except for the main one of course, which there is no way it will ever be added to any electronic device and used for electronic purchases. If something goes wrong, I’m literally ruined. Card scams are countless out there. I only use a debit card, with only 5000 euros in it, and a prepaid card for small expenses with 1000 euros. If those get stolen, it’s not the end of the world.

Το Α17 είναι επακριβώς πανομοιότυπο αλλά αρκέτα ακριβότερο. Να πάρει η ευχή, δεν μπήκαν στον κόπο ΟΥΤΕ ΈΝΑ χαρακτηριστικό να αλλάξουν/βελτιώσουν. Πάρετε το Α16 καθώς όπως προείπα είναι πανομοιότυπο ενώ 50+ ευρώ φθηνότερο. Έχω ήδη λάβει την αναβάθμιση στο Android 15 (τώρα Android 16), ONE-UI 8.5, όπως το Α17 το οποίο έρχεται με προεγκατεστημένο το Android 16. Η μόνη διαφορά, συν ένας χρόνος αναβαθμίσεων, έως 2031 δηλαδή αντί για 2030, η οποία δεν έχει και τόση σημασία για ένα τόσο φθηνό κινητό. Πάνω από έξι χρόνια δεν βλέπω να το κρατάω. Περιμένω να βγει το Poco X/F 8 και ένα εξάμηνο να πέσει κατακόρυφα η τιμή διότι αν δείτε χαρακτηριστικά, θα σας πέσει το σαγόνι και όλα αυτά αρχικώς με 325 ευρώ για το Pro και 550 για το Pro Max το οποίο δεν έχει τίποτε μα τίποτε να ζηλέψει από κινητά άνω των 1000 ευρώ. Κατά τα άλλα, για 130 ευρώ (το Α16 - 4/128GB), πολύ έντιμο για παρόμοιες με τις δικές μου δουλειές ή για απλό κινητό δίχως πολλά-πολλά.
Τα Stereo ηχεία και ιδίως με Dolby Atmos κάνουν διαφορά (και φυσικά ο επεξεργαστής αλλά ξεφεύγουμε πολύ), ωστόσο, Atmos και στερεοφωνικά ηχεία, από το Α57 και πάνω. To A16/17, μoνό ηχείο, αλλά όπως προείπα, για την δουλειά που το θέλω, μου είναι «κουτί».
Υ.Γ. Βασικά, αφαίρεσαν και ένα πολύτιμο χαρακτηστικό για όσους το χρησιμοποιούν, το NFC. Δεν κουβαλάω τις κάρτες μαζί μου. Τις έχω περασμένες στο πορτοφόλι της Google, εκτός από τη βασική εννοείται η οποία δεν υπάρχει περίπτωσει να περασθεί σε καμία ηλεκτρονική συσκευή και να χρησιμοποιηθεί για ηλεκτρονική αγορά. Αν κάτι πάει στραβά, καταστράφηκα κυριολεκτικά. Τα Scams με κάρτες, αμέτρητα εκεί έξω, Χρησιμοποιώ μόνο Χρεωστική (Debit) έχοντας μόνο 5000 ευρώ μέσα και μια προπληρωμένη (Prepaid) για μικροέξοδα με 1000 ευρώ. Αυτές αν μου τις υποκλέψουν, δεν χάλασε και ο κόσμος.
