Its a very comfortable headset with a lot of potential.
The microphone is amazing and many of my friends have stated that i sound better than when using a Yeti 70 euro, desktop microphone.

The software is easy to manage and calibrate and the battery life is.. great! 1 charge per week for about 5-6 hours gaming sessions per day.

One minor (potentially great) drawback is that you cannot change the ear cushions. So for anyone thinking about investing in wickedcushions.com is out of luck. The good thing is that the earcups cushions are very good and soft and provide good sound insulation.

With regards to sound however, if you are a fan of boomy experiences with a lot of base, this headset out of the box, will not be able to give you what you want BY ITSELF. You will (100%) need to pair it with a 3D sound software enabler. My recommendation is to use Microsoft's Dolby Access (link below for your ease) which has a one off pay requirement and gets unlocked to your windows account. It also has a 3 day trial for the skeptics.
It definitely transforms the headset into a powerhouse making it feel as if you are wearing a cinema studio on your head.

I give it a 3/5 because for the price, it shouldnt need a third party software to perform the way i wanted it to and... in a 2025 model, not being able to get my wickedcushions is a big no-no (personal preference)

The Razer Blackshark V3 Pro is the headset that made me seriously reconsider Razer in terms of audio. For many years, the company had a name in gaming, but not necessarily in sound quality compared to the competition. However, with the Blackshark series, it is clear that this chapter is closed.

Starting with the build, this is a sturdy, well-crafted, and discreet headset. It doesn’t try to scream 'gaming' with RGB and excess. The memory foam ear pads are high quality and clearly designed with comfort in mind, while the fact that the drivers rotate and adjust properly to the shape of your ear significantly helps both with the seal and the overall acoustic experience. This is not a minor detail; you immediately notice it in the sound and ANC.

In daily use, the headset has quite a few buttons on it. For some, this may be too many, but in practice, they give you full control without needing to open Synapse. Volume, microphone, ANC, and profile settings are all instantly accessible, something you really appreciate in gaming.

The sound is clear, balanced, and pleasant, without trying to impress you artificially. For a closed-back wireless headset, it has remarkably good soundstage and very good separation of instruments and sounds.

It’s not aimed at lovers of excessive bass. If you’re used to the old Razer headsets, you might be disappointed here. The bass is controlled and rather conservative; personally, I found it sufficient for gaming, but somewhat weak for certain types of music.

The THX 7.1.4 works excellently in titles that support it. The directionality of the sound is one of its strong points; footsteps, reloads, and movements are rendered with incredible accuracy. The esports EQ profile is perfect for FPS and offers excellent sound separation. A small tip: avoid the step booster, as it is excessive and ultimately destroys the balance.

The Active Noise Cancellation is among the best I have tried in a gaming headset. It has 4 intensity levels, with the third being the ideal balance point. At the maximum level, the soundstage is slightly reduced, but the isolation is impressive—practically nothing from the environment distracts you; personally, I heard nothing from outside.

The battery, with ANC on and volume around 60–80%, easily lasts 30–40 hours, which is more than satisfactory for the features it offers.

In terms of comfort, this is a relatively heavy, closed-back headset; after many hours, you will feel it. However, the ear pads help significantly with this.

Finally, the Razer Blackshark V3 Pro is not cheap. Whether it’s worth the money depends on whether you will take advantage of all its features: ANC, THX, profiles, and wireless flexibility. If yes, it’s an amazing, complete, and high-quality wireless gaming headset. If not, there may be more cost-effective options. In any case, it is one of the most mature and serious audio offerings Razer has ever presented.

Very nice headset from Razer, which with the Blackshark series seems to have left behind its bad past with the very mediocre headphones it offered to gamers compared to the competition. Quite sturdy and discreet construction, memory foam pads with an emphasis on comfort, manage to a large extent to make it happen. On the plus side, the drivers rotate so they can "seal" to every shape and size of the user's ears. Also, many buttons with functions on the headset itself (though this impacts ergonomics), you can do everything without having to go into Synapse to adjust settings. Let's get to the point:

Quite good sound quality for their type, a pleasant surprise that they don't just work for gaming, they also do very well with music. After quite some time using a Beyerdynamic DT 990 Edition headset, Pci Creative Soundblaster X-AE5 sound card, and Fiio K5 Pro headphone amp, I can say I expected to be disappointed by the Blackshark V3 Pro in the audiophile department, but that didn't happen. Very decent for something intended mostly for gamers, quite high quality. The only negative I found, if you are a bass lover and especially of the old Razer headsets that blew your head off with their bass, forget it here. Little bass and quite "washed out".

Also, the THX 7.1.4 works flawlessly in titles that support it. Very good surround experience with amazing directional sound accuracy.

There are many options through Synapse 4, what stood out to me is Sound Normalisation which makes them quite loud. Especially for wireless, the volume levels become more than satisfactory. There is also a separate esports profile in the EQ for first-person shooter fans and it's excellent. Amazing sound separation, steps, and accuracy of where each sound is coming from (don't use the step booster from the settings because in the end you'll only hear footsteps like you're in a parade, it doesn't do what it promises, it's quite excessive).

Much has been said by various reviewers about the effectiveness of the ANC with the excuse that the earcups don't seal properly on users' ears. Not true. Simply, when no content is playing (music or dialogue paused, etc.), it's logical that sounds pass through the headset. It can't work miracles. When content is playing, my wife has used a handheld vacuum around my ears and I didn't hear it at all. Nor the intercom, nor conversations in the room. Really, nothing can distract you while gaming.

Battery life at an average volume of 60-80% and ANC enabled, you get about 30-40 hours of gaming roughly, quite satisfactory performance for so many features packed in.

On comfort, it's a slightly heavy closed-back headset. If you're used to light and open-back sets, it will tire you after a few hours. The earcups with the comfort they offer somewhat save the situation.

In conclusion, I have to say that the Razer Blackshark V3 Pro is objectively expensive. Do their performance and features justify the price? That's subjective for each user. If you intend to take advantage of all the features they have, go for it and you won't regret it. Otherwise, there is no reason for such an expensive purchase. Other than that, it is an excellent wireless headset with amazing build and sound quality.
