Variety

Cabernet Franc

Often used in blends with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, but also produces excellent single-varietal wines. It has a lighter body than Cabernet Sauvignon, with aromas of red fruits (raspberry, cherry), characteristic vegetal notes (pepper, tomato leaves), and sometimes graphite.

Cabernet Sauvignon

It produces wines with intense tannins, full body, and characteristic aromas of black fruits (blackcurrant, black cherry), often with notes of cedar, mint, or tobacco. They have excellent aging potential.
Dryness

Dry

Contains minimal sugars, with intense acidity and full body. Pairs well with meats, pasta, and cheeses.

Description

Its history begins in 1931, when it initially operated as a mixed agricultural estate. Since 1983, the Asseray family has been exclusively dedicated to vineyard cultivation and wine production, transforming the estate into a modern and innovative winery. Today, the estate is managed by the fourth generation, with Emmanuel and Aurélie Asseray continuing the family tradition.

The estate covers approximately 570 acres and is cultivated with respect for the environment and the natural heritage of the area. The High Environmental Value (HVE) level 3 certification is proof of the family's commitment to sustainable agriculture and biodiversity preservation.

The wines of Domaine Asseray stand out for their quality, having been honored with numerous awards at major international competitions, such as the Concours Général Agricole. They are wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Loire and the dedication of a family that lovingly cultivates its land.
