    2. Additional frequencies allow for greater speed on more devices.

    Dual Band (2.4 & 5GHz)

    They transmit signals on two frequencies. They offer higher speeds compared to single and connect more devices. The 2.4Ghz frequency is the most common and, as it has a large range, is usually congested by neighboring Wi-Fi signals, making communication between devices more difficult. The 5Ghz provides higher speeds than the 2.4Ghz but is more sensitive to obstacles (e.g. walls) that reduce its range. This difference, as well as its more limited use, helps to have fewer interferences from other networks.

    Older Wi-Fi standard, significantly slower than Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 6. Recommended for use with few devices and for applications that do not require high speeds.
